While walking the Uneven Pathway

“There is pleasure in the pathless woods
There is rapture on the lonely shores;

There is society, where none intrudes
By the deep sea, and music in its roar

I love not the man less, but nature more.” – Lord Byron

Born and brought up in Assam and currently living in New Delhi, she is a communication professional working with a leading agri-based company. As she cant afford to quit her 9-6 corporate job to travel, every now and then, she manages to pack her bags and escape to the unknown.

Her idea of travelling is not to count places, but memories, not to collect souvenirs, but anecdotes. Destination as well as the journey, both are equally beautiful for her. Roads lead her to many unknown stories, and destination gives her the narratives. The sense of unfamiliarity of an unknown place excites her. And a smile to strangers on your way, she believes, creates magic, and makes the journey way more charming, and memorable.

Though she loves travelling to the sea, sand and to the pages of histories, she has an intimate affair with the Himalayas.

A gerascophobic (fearing of getting old) in nature, she only hopes- that the smoky woods, gloomy skies and green slopes still fascinates her at the age of sixty, enough to be able to pack her bags ad walk to the uneven pathways.

She feels the urge to document her small little travel fables-

-because they are close to her heart

-because she cant shut up about travel memoirs and the way they make her feel

-because she wants someone to tell her stories

-and because she longs to talk about what she has learnt from the Uneven Pathways.
